Hey friends,
I’m late again.
At this point, Hava Fridays may need to admit that she is still learning how to arrive on time. But she is arriving.

Last week was the beginning. I shared why Hava exists, what the name means, and the practice underneath it: be still, be·hold, begin.
This week, I’ve been thinking about what the week leaves in us.
The tone we had to manage.

The room we had to read.

The thing we had to let slide.

The version of ourselves we had to become to get through it.
By Friday, a lot of us are carrying more than we realize.
And because we are used to carrying, we don’t always call it heavy. We call it normal.
That is part of what I mean by getting UnFridayed.
Not escaping our lives. Not pretending the week did not happen. Just giving our bodies somewhere to put it down.
This is the spirit behind Hava, and it is also the spirit behind The Founders Brunch on June 20th
A Juneteenth weekend gathering for Us in the Texas Hill Country. A slow morning with sunrise yoga, real food, live music, sister circle, poolside rest, and good company.
Not a performance of wellness. A place to return to ourselves with other women who understand why that matters.
This week, before we move into the next thing, we can ask:
What did this week leave in me?
What can I put down before I carry myself forward?
That is enough of a beginning.

With breath,
Hava
